Each Year Scottsbluff Public Schools recognizes one outstanding community partner as Friend of the District. At the District Retirement and Recognition Ceremony, 21st Century Equipment was recognized as the 2024 Friend of the District.
"Scottsbluff Public Schools is incredibly grateful for our partnership with 21st Century Equipment. Through this partnership, we have been able to enhance our career and technical education program at multiple levels. The opportunities afforded to our students enrich the learning experience, create awareness of careers in the agriculture industry, and provide meaningful training and instruction that can prepare students for successful careers right out of high school." said Dr. Andrew Dick, SBPS Superintendent.
21st Century Equipment has been a long-time partner of Scottsbluff Public Schools and a strong supporter of Career and Technical Education at multiple levels. They are one of the community partners responsible for the District’s highly successful Diesel Tech program but have supported Scottsbluff Schools in many additional ways including sponsoring a student trip to Waterloo, Iowa for John Deere Factory tours, collaborating with SHS Administration on a STEM trailer that has been utilized by SHS, BMS, and schools across the region. They are supporters of FFA, provide internships and job shadowing opportunities at the dealership, and have provided a FarmBot to the BMS STEM program. 21st Century staff have promoted continuing education opportunities with John Deere for Scottsbluff students both in and out of the classroom including hosting a Parents night at the dealership to tour the location and learn more about future career opportunities.
