Scottsbluff High School Welcomes Brian Potter as Head Boys Soccer Coach

Scottsbluff High School is excited to announce the hiring of Brian Potter as the new Head Coach for boys soccer for the 2025–2026 school year.

Brian PotterPotter brings a strong background as both a player and a coach. He was a four-year starting goalkeeper at Husson University in Maine, helping lead the team to NCAA Tournament appearances in 2011 and 2014. In his senior year, he was named Husson University’s Male Athlete of the Year. After graduating, Potter spent five years on the coaching staff at his alma mater, serving as an assistant and goalkeeper coach for the men's program while also contributing to the women’s team.

Following his move to Colorado in 2020, Potter joined the coaching staff at Colorado Christian University and served as the North Region Goalkeeping Director for Colorado Rapids Youth Soccer for four years. He currently works as the Marketing Manager at Platte Valley Bank.

"We are thrilled to be able to bring someone with Brian's experience and passion for the sport of soccer onto our coaching staff,” said Nate Rock, SHS Activities Director. “His impressive combination of playing and coaching experiences will serve our student-athletes well. We are excited he is a Bearcat!"
