SBPS Elevates Internal Talent with New Administrator Selections
Scottsbluff Public Schools is excited to announce recent leadership selections that will allow talented administrators to grow, take on new challenges, and bring renewed energy to key roles across the District.
Brittni Chancellor has been selected as the Principal of Bluffs Middle School for the 2026–2027 school year. Chancellor has served as Assistant Principal at BMS for the past three years and previously taught middle school reading for 10 years at Mitchell Public Schools. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education from Chadron State College, a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction, and a Master’s in Administration from Wayne State College. Chancellor will succeed Jana Mason, who will move into the role of Executive Director of Human Resources next school year. Brittni builds strong relationships with students and families and has demonstrated proven instructional leadership through her work leading content-area professional learning communities and schoolwide positive behavior support initiatives.
Jadie Beam has been selected to lead teaching and learning efforts across the District as Executive Director of Curriculum and Instruction, effective July 1, 2027. Beam has served as the District’s English Language Arts Content Area Specialist since 2021 and previously worked as Director of Professional Learning for ESU #13. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education K–12 from the University of Nebraska at Kearney, a Master’s in Assessment and Curriculum from Olivet Nazarene University, and a Master’s in Administration from Chadron State College. Beam is a recognized statewide leader in high-quality ELA curriculum development and implementation and has served on the Nebraska MTSS Builders Committee, the Nebraska Literacy Advisory Panel, and the Learning Forward Board. She will assume her new duties upon the retirement of Executive Director of Curriculum and Instruction Mike Mason at the conclusion of the 2026–2027 school year.
With the selection of Jana Mason and Jadie Beam to new leadership roles, the District will complete its planned organizational restructuring, reducing the Department of Curriculum and Instruction to a two-person team and adding a dedicated Human Resources leader.
The SBPS Board of Education is scheduled to consider the appointment of Chancellor and Beam at its February regular meeting.
