Nate Rock selected as Scottsbluff High School Activities Director for the 2025-2026 School Year
Scottsbluff High School is pleased to announce that Nate Rock has been selected as Activities Director for the 2025-2026 school year.
Rock joined the District as a Social Studies Teacher in 2005 and has been serving as an Assistant Activities Director in the District since 2023. Rock, a Scottsbluff High School alumnus, received a Bachelor of Arts in History and Criminology and a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Doane University. This semester he will complete a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Doane as well as Nebraska 6-12 Administrative Certification. In addition, Rock has led the SHS soccer programs since 2006, currently serving as the boys' Head Coach as well as serving as president of the Western Nebraska Football Club, for the youth in the Panhandle.
“We are extremely excited to have Mr. Rock in the Activities Director position,” said Justin Shaddick, Scottsbluff High School Principal. “His passion for Bearcat Activities, our students, coaches, and the community will allow us to continue to build on our tradition of success.”
Rock will succeed SHS Activities Director Dave Hoxworth who announced his retirement as of the completion of the 2024-2025 school year. The Board of Education is slated to approve Rock’s appointment at their next meeting.
