District Takes Home a Trio of Awards in National Publications Contest
Posted on 05/30/2025
The National School Public Relations Association announced the winners of the 2025 Publications and Digital Media Excellence Awards, and Scottsbluff Public Schools is a proud recipient of three national awards.

The projects competed against hundreds of entries from other school districts nationwide in NSPRA’s Publications and Digital Media Excellence Awards, which recognize outstanding education publications, marketing and informational materials, multimedia programs, social media, and websites. SBPS was recognized for its outstanding efforts in school communication, receiving accolades for publications that support and inform families, celebrate progress, and showcase district initiatives.

The District received the top award, the Award of Excellence for the SBPS Back to School Guide for Families. Now in its second year, the guide is distributed to all SBPS families each August, providing essential information in a convenient format to help kick off the school year with confidence. The 2023-2024 Annual Report, Investing in Our Future, as well as the Early Childhood Expansion tour handout, which details the purchase and renovation of the Scottsbluff Public Schools Education Center, also received Awards of Merit in the contest. All three publications were written, designed, and edited by Melissa Price, SBPS Director of Communications.

“Scottsbluff Public Schools takes pride in communicating effectively with our internal and external audiences,” said Dr. Andrew Dick, Superintendent.  “We understand the importance of quality school communications and the impact quality communications can have on the learning environment, and assisting in ensuring student success. These three recognitions underscore the District’s commitment to effective communication, while highlighting the outstanding work of Melissa Price.”
