Attention: Parents/Guardians of Students Who Were in Grades 3-8 Last School Year

The Nebraska Department of Education would like your input on the NSCAS student reports. You should have recently received a copy of the report in the mail detailing your student’s spring scores. Please reference that report as you complete the short survey linked below:

Families,

Marzano Research is administering a family survey as part of the evaluation of the Competitive Grants for State Assessment (CGSA) awarded to the Nebraska Department of Education (NDE). Through this grant, NDE aims to enhance the Nebraska Student-Centered Assessment System (NSCAS) summative reports to better support educators and families.

The purpose of this annual survey is to assess the grant’s impact on improving NSCAS reports for families.
Your responses will not be used to evaluate you, your students, your student’s school or district. The survey should take no more than 4 minutes to complete. While participation is voluntary, we strive for a 100% response rate. If you are new to your school or have limited knowledge of NSCAS ISR reports, you may skip any unfamiliar questions.

The survey will be available until September 19, 2025.

Marzano Research values your privacy and will keep your responses confidential.
No identifiable data will be shared with NDE, your district, or your school. Instead, your responses will be combined with others and reported in aggregate, or as a group.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact
Steven Tedeschi at Marzano Research ([email protected]).

Thank you for your time and for contributing to the improvement of NSCAS reports in Nebraska!”
