Scottsbluff Public Schools Communication Efforts Earn Three National Awards for Second Straight Year
Scottsbluff, NE – The National School Public Relations Association announced the winners of the 2026 Publications and Digital Media Excellence Awards, and Scottsbluff Public Schools is a proud recipient of three national awards. This is the second consecutive year the District has received multiple awards.
The projects competed against hundreds of entries from other school districts nationwide in NSPRA’s Publications and Digital Media Excellence Awards, which recognize outstanding education publications, marketing and informational materials, multimedia programs, social media, and websites. SBPS was recognized for its outstanding efforts in school communication, receiving accolades for publications, both print and digital, that support and inform families, celebrate achievement, and showcase district initiatives.
The District received the top award, the Award of Excellence, for two entries, The SBPS Insider and the “You Belong Here” Teacher Recruitment Publication. Since 2011, the SBPS Insider email newsletter has kept the community informed on District happenings and achievements as well as provide an update after each Board of Education meeting. The Insider is open to any member of the public and interested community members can subscribe at http://eepurl.com/dvRuYH. The District’s Teacher Recruitment Tool “You Belong Here” features staff testimonials and touts Scottsbluff as a “Great Place to Live and Work”. The 2024-2025 Annual Report, You Belong Here, also received an Award of Merit in the contest. All three entries were written, designed, and edited by Melissa Price, SBPS Director of Communications.
“We are proud to share the incredible work happening across our district and grateful to be recognized nationally for those efforts,” said Melissa Price, Director of Communications. “These awards highlight the remarkable people, opportunities, and accomplishments that make Scottsbluff Public Schools a source of pride for our community.”
