SHS Thespian Troupe presents An Evening of One Acts

On Friday, December 14 and Saturday, December 15 at 7pm the Scottsbluff High School Thespian Troupe #819 will be presenting An Evening of One Acts. The show consists of a series of short plays presented by a variety of different groups. Parents should be aware that these plays contain mature content.

The evening opens with Notice Me which was written by the Theater class and directed by student Adriana Casias. It is about becoming aware of the challenges that high school students face and how we can help them.

Next is a performance of Zeus on the Loose, a zany comedy following characters from Greek mythology presented by the Junior Varsity drama group with student director Sydney Petit.

The evening concludes with the Varsity One Acts group performing Antigone, the classic Greek tragedy of a family torn apart by war. The exciting twist is that the play is presented in a modern post – apocalyptic setting reminiscent of the Mad Max movies. Both lead actors won Outstanding Actor awards at every competition they attended and the play received Superior ratings each time.

Tickets are only seven dollars, five dollars for students and seniors available at http:\\ or at the door.
