Hello! I am excited to be entering my 3rd year at SHS as the Culinary Arts teacher. Born and raised in Scottsbluff, and an SHS graduate, I'm proud to say GO BEARCATS! 

This year I will be taking on a full time schedule of culinary classes. Classes I offer are Foods and Wellness, Advanced Foods, and ProStart 1 & 2. Students in my classes have the opportunity to learn about health and wellness, global cuisine, and the wide world of the Hospitality, Restaurant, and Tourism industry! Students will utilize our professional grade kitchen classroom on a weekly basis. They have the opportunity to earn professional certificatons such as the ServSafe Foodhandler Permit, and the ProStart National Certificate of Achievement. 

Students in ProStart 1 & 2 will explore high level culinary techniques, and learn about all the different career opportunities in the Foodservice industry. They also have the opportunity to participate in culinary and managment competitions across the state, where one teamfrom each state is selected each year to compete in the National ProStart Invitational. 

My classroom is focused on developing fast-thinking, skilled cooks who are knowledgable about the industry, and who carry themselves with the utmost professionalism! Can't wait to have you all in class.
