Mrs. McAlister

Greetings, All!

This year marks my third year of  teaching Kindergarten, and my eigth year as a teacher. I absolutely love working with children, as they offer such a fun and unique perspective on life. Everyday is an adventure in KinderLand, and I never know just what each day holds! I love watching my students learn new things...kindergardeners love to learn and have so much passion and enthusiasm in all that they do. My classroom motto is a quote from Jen Hatmaker, and it goes like this ... "Prepare the child for the path, not the path for the child." This quote has become the background for everything I do as a teacher, as I know that these cute Kindergarten faces will one day become the leaders of tomorrow. I feel very blessed to have the opportunity to be teacher.

When I am not teaching, I love spending time outside and hanging out with my little family of four. I have two kids, a son, Louie (2nd grade) and a daughter, Emie (Kindergarten). They are so much fun, and we love to read books, eat snowcones, hike, fish, bake, and play together every chance we get! My husband, Kyle, is also a teacher. He teaches Science in the Freshman Academy at the High School. We love the Bearcats!

I feel very blessed to be a part of Scottsbluff Public Schools and the amazing team here at Lincoln Heights Elementary! I am looking forward to a GREAT SCHOOLYEAR, full of fun, learning, & some amazing kids!
