Announcements

  • A great way to connect with your child is to ask them about their day. Do ask them questions that will provide detail like,

"What was the best part of your day?"

"What part of the day really stuck in your head? Why?"

"Who did you communicate with today? What did you talk about?"

Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Kautz

I love being a 1st grade teacher at Roosevelt Elementary, GO EAGLES! This is my 8th year teaching. I taught 4th grade 7 years and now this is my first year in 1st grade. I attended Chadron State College and graduated with a degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Social Science. I also attended Western Governers University and have a Masters degree in Learning and Technology. I have worked with children for many years before becoming a teacher. I started out in a daycare and moved on up to a Para educator working with special needs students. I chose to be a teacher to make a difference in the lives of young students.

My family is very important to me and I love being able to spend time with them.  I am married to my husband Matt and we are blessed with a blended family.  My children are daughter Bailey (20), stepson Jabe (17), son Dylan (14), and daughter Macey ((6) also a 1st grader this year).  Our family also includes a boxer dog named Cassious and a siamese cat names Skippy.  We love hanging out outside, cooking, fishing, riding horses, swimming, camping, and going on bike rides.  Some of my other favorite things are horses, art, and reading.  My family brings lots of love to my life and I love sharing it in my classroom. I look forward to a great year of learning.
