Welcome back to the 2019-2020 school year at BMS!

Hi!  Welcome back to school!  My name is Ms. Schlagel.  This is my seventh year at Bluffs Middle School and 13th year in education.   I earned my bachelors at Chadron State College and I am currently continuing my education in middle school math and education/technology.  I am looking forward to another great year, helping students in finding confidence in themselves and growing in their successes.

Sometimes, it takes us a little longer to process/grasp the information being taught and learned, but with some time and patience, we will all grow at our own potential.

I am excited to be teaching Wilson reading again this year and working alongside the 6th-grade team! :)  I will be giving extra support in the general education classes helping with differentiation and student needs.

I am looking forward to seeing the kids, listening to all their summer adventures and learn from them what their goals are for themselves this year and how we will be successful working towards their goals.  I look forward to watching students persevere throughout the year and watch their confidence within themselves grow.  Here at Bluffs Middle School, there are many resources and opportunities for students to utilize to grow in their academics.  I am looking forward to a great year and to see all the students growth and successes!

Have a great year!  :)

Classroom Resources

  • In the 6th-grade resource room, there are visuals on the walls for reminders of school and classroom expectations and procedures.  There are two Special Education teachers that students can utilize for guidance and support.  Students have computers for resources along with a Promethean board that teachers use for displaying and sharing information.
