Welcome to Read 180 with Ms. McCafferty
This Read 180 reading program is designed to help improve student's reading levels. There are several components to the Read 180 program and together they will help build the skills to become a successful reader.
- Software to build skills and provide practice in essential areas such as reading, comprehension, fluency, vocabulary, phonics and spelling.
- Audiobooks to allow students to read along with the help of a narrator and reading coach, who model strategies used by successful readers.
- Paperbacks to allow students to select books to read independently. Students will have access to appropriate level, high-interest books.
As a teacher in the community, I want to be a role model of integrity, academic excellence, outstanding character, and show students that I truly care about them. I believe an excellent teacher is always gaining knowledge and imparting that to the students. My personal educational philosophy encompasses a deep focus on each student's abilities and needs. My deep heartfelt desire is that my students would become all they can be and they would be equipped with the skills and knowledge that would enable them to function inside and outside of the classroom.
