Career Advisory Council Members:
- Aid in curriculum articulation and course offerings
- Advise regarding content and industry standards
- Provide guest speaking and teaching opportunities
- Provide internship opportunities
- Provide on-the-job training

Adopt A School
Adopt-A-School is a program of the Scottsbluff/Gering United Chamber of Commerce where area businesses and local schools team up to promote education.
Schools are partnered up annually with area businesses and collaborate on various learning and community service projects. Below are some examples of Adopt-A-School Projects in SBPS. Partners are encouraged to Contact Us with projects and pictures and we will include them on this page or share via social media.

Lincoln Heights held a Back to School Family Fun Night with Adopt-A-School Partner the YMCA.
Friends of the District
Each year at the Retirement and Recognition Ceremony held in May, SBPS awards a Business partner the esteemed "Friend of the District Award".
2020-Aulick Industries
Aulick Industries has been a long-time community partner of the District and has been instrumental in providing hands-on opportunities for students in our Ag, Food and Natural Resources Academy and our Skilled and Technical Sciences Academy. Aulicks provides internships for SHS students which can grow into paid positions, partnered with SHS for the area's first-ever Department of Labor Registered Apprenticeship, provides industry tours for students, projects for SHS welding classes and most recently created an amazing Diesel Tech program for our students. Aulicks also supports Scottsbluff Activities, provides a Career Academy Scholarship through the SBPS Foundation, partnered with Bluffs Middle School to be awarded a $107,000 Developing Youth Talent Grant and Aulick employees are involved with the 3E initiative.
2021-ALLO Communications
ALLO Communications partners with SBPS in a variety of ways. Through the past several years, ALLO has donated over $51,000 to support district technology through the ALLO for Education program. During the COVID-19 pandemic when schools were closed ALLO provided free internet to Scottsbluff families in order for students to access Extended Campus Learning. ALLO also partnered with the SBPS IT Department in order to provide a parking lot wireless access point on the BMS campus for families outside of ALLO's service area to access internet with student devices. In addition, ALLO supports activities and provides gifts of appreciation to staff members.
2022-Platte Valley Companies
Platte Valley Companies has been a long time supporter of Scottsbluff Public Schools. This year Platte Valley gave a $125K donation to the Scottsbluff Public Schools Foundation for the Play Strong elementary playground project to update playgrounds at all in-town elementaries. In addition, Platte Valley companies has supported SBPS in a wide variety of ways including; major sponsor of the SHS Scoreboards, bench sponsor in the Bearcat Pride Plaza, providing internships for students at SHS, serving as a long time Adopt a School partner, providing financial in-kind support for the SHS Innovation grant, serving as long time DECA Business Advisors, and employing SBPS Students who are attending LifeLink.
