SHS Diesel Tech Signing

SHS Diesel Tech Program holds First Ever Signing Day for Students pursuing post secondary education

Three Scottsbluff High School Students signed letters of commitment to attend post-secondary diesel tech programs in a first ever signing ceremony for the SHS Diesel Tech Program.   
 
Seniors Tristan Encinia and Isaiah Lopez signed letters of commitment to attend the WyoTech Diesel Technology program, a nine month program located in Laramie Wyoming.  Senior Auston Adams signed a letter of intent to attend the John Deere Construction and Forestry Tech program at the Southeast Community College Milford campus.
 
“We are extremely proud of these students, they have gone above and beyond in taking advantage of the opportunities made available to them and will now have the opportunity to have a very successful career in the diesel tech industry,” said Justin Shaddick, Scottsbluff High School Principal. “ I also want to thank our community partners for the large amount of time and effort they have put forward in creating this opportunity for our students. “
 
The Scottsbluff High School Diesel Tech program which began in January of 2021 has seen Scottsbluff High School students come together with industry professionals from six community partners; 21st Century Equipment, Aulick Industries, Floyd’s Truck Center, Inland Trucks Parts Company, Murphy Tractor & Equipment Co, Nebraska Machinery Co CAT, for specialized hands on instruction in Diesel Technology, career exploration and internship opportunities.
