Welcome to 1st Grade!!

My name is Becca Coxbill and this is my eighth year teaching 1st grade! I am so greatful to be teaching in such a welcoming environment like Westmoor has. 

I was born and raised in Scottsbluff and have 2 sisters. I have a little girl who turned 6 in October, which makes me sad and excited at the same time. (My family was blessed with all girls)! My daughters name is Ellie and her energy and spunk keeps me on my toes and takes up a lot of my time. It is true when they say, 'Time flies when your having fun!' We enjoy picnics at the park, bike riding, trips to the zoo, drawing with sidewalk chalk, baking cookies, watching movies, and simply being together! Spending time with my daughter, neices, sisters, and my family is my favoirte thing to do! I am blessed to be able to work and raise my family in this community!

I graduated with my Bachelor's in May of 2012 from Chadron State College. I can't wait to see what this 1st grade year has in store! It will be a FUN year full of learning for everyone, including me!!

    8:00 - 8:30: Morning Review/Morning Meeting

    8:30 - 9:30: Bridges Math

    9:30 - 10:00: Fundations (phonics) 

    10:00 - 10:15: Recess

    10:15 - 10:45: Snack/Social Studies/Science

    10:45 - 11:45: Wit and Wisdom (reading and writing) 

    11:45 - 12:20: Lunch

    12:20 - 12:50: Number Corner

    12:50 - 1:20: Math Target Time

    1:25 - 2:15: Specials

    2:15 - 2:45: ELA Target Time

    2:45 - 3:15: Organized Play

    3:15 - 3:25: Clean up and Dismiss

  • Please remember to help your child read their baggy book each night and check backpacks for Thursday folders weekly as they will contain notes from the classroom and office :)
