Mrs. Mandy Hadenfeldt
Hello! My name is Mandy Hadenfeldt, and I teach Algebra I for the White Team at the Freshman Academy and Algebra II for upper grades. This is my eleventh year teaching, and it's my fifth year teaching at Scottsbluff High School.
I grew up in Gering and graduated from Gering High School. I then attended the University of Nebraska at Kearney and earned my bachelor's degree in education. I completed my student teaching experience in Omaha and then returned to the area. I started my teaching career at Gering Junior High School, where I taught for 6 years before working for Scottsbluff Public Schools. I love being a Bearcat and helping students develop their problem solving and critical thinking skills through Algebra.
I have wanted to be a teacher since I was a 2nd grader. I even begged my mom to buy me an extendable pointer, which I brought to school every day. I have absolutely loved my teaching career and all of the students I have taught along the way, but I am excited to start a new adventure next year. This will be my last year in the classroom, as I have accepted a job as the mathematics content area specialist for the district.
I have been married to my high school sweetheart, Max, for 9 years, and we have two daughters, Nora (5 years old) and Alice (3 years old). Golf is a huge part of our lives since my husband is the director of golf at Scotts Bluff Country Club. We also have lots of family in the area and love spending time with them.
I am excited for this unique school year, and I want to encourage you to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. Welcome back! Together, we are stronger!
