Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Leonard was raised in Gering, Nebraska where she graduated from High School. She graduated from Chadron State with a Bachelor of Science and a Gifted Endorsement from the University of Nebraska at Kearney. She has taught many different grade levels including Kindergarten, and third through eighth grade. This is her twenty-seventh year of teaching and fifteenth year teaching Art at Bluffs Middle School. Mrs. Leonard continues working on her education.
Mrs. Leonard and her husband have seven children and one granddaughter. They enjoy camping, traveling, the outdoors, and sports as well as motorcycle riding. The Leonard's also have two dogs, and varying numbers of fish.

6th Grade Course Content
This nine week exploratory course investigates the basic Elements of Art, introduces different artists and art cultures, and teaches ways to look at art.
7th Grade Course Content
Drawing skills including pencil, pen and charcoal will be the main focus. Different artists will be introduced and two and three dimensional art will be explored.
8th Grade Course Content
Techniques for acrylic and watercolor will be discussed. Class projects include: still life, landscapes, realistic and abstract paintings. Interdisciplinary content will be included.
