Random Drug Testing
In the summer of 2006, the Scottsbluff Public
School Board of Education approved polices for Random Student Drug
Testing at Scottsbluff High School and Bluffs Middle School
students.
The policies were formed by a committee of students, parents,
staff, administration and local law enforcement. The
committee was helped by William J. Judge, an attorney from the
Chicago area who for the past 18 years has concentrated his
practice on research, consultation, litigation assistance, and
management training related to the legal issues of substance abuse
in the workplace and in our nation’s schools.
High School Principal Galen Nighswonger gave a report from the
first year of the program at the June 25, 2007 board meeting. Report
to Board
