Scottsbluff Public Schools Assessment Information
Children
in grades 3-5 will be taking the NWEA Measures of Academic Progress
(MAPs) over the next few weeks. This is a norm-referenced
adaptive exam and is used for a variety of purposes. Please
speak with your child’s teacher at parent-teacher conferences, if
you have questions. The State of Nebraska requires all
districts to administer a norm-referenced exam (NRT).
Scottsbluff Public Schools children take the MAPs test in
grades 3-5, the TerraNova3 in grades 6-8,
and the CAT 6 at the junior (11th) level. The TerraNova and CAT6
will be administered later in the school year.
Also, eighth and ninth grade students will take the EXPLORE test
and sophomores will take the PLAN test on November 6th.
