District Information: Facility Projects: Middle School Temp. Loc.

2009-2010 Middle School Location

"It has always been possible to do the renovation of the current Bluffs Middle School with students housed in the building.  When the Aurora Loan Complex became available, it was clear we had a better option for students.  It saves the district, and ultimately the tax payers, over $250,000.  It shortens the timeline and gets us into the renovated building six months earlier.  And above all, we don't have to have students around a construction site.  It's a win-win situation that's best for students and staff", stated Dr. Reynolds in a recent press conference regarding the possible move of the middle school student body into the old Aurora Loan Complex.

The complex, located at the corner of 5th Avenue & The Beltline, is comprised of two large buildings and 3 parking lots.  The complex previously housed a call center, warehouse storage, and office space.  Both buildings are wired for technology.  All entrances are secure and ADA accessible.  The only building that has more than one floor is the main building, and two elevators provide access for persons with physical limitations or disabilities.  In addition, both buildings have air conditioning.
