SHS Students Perform in Europe
July 20, 2007
During the month of June, 23 high school students from the panhandle traveled with the Nebraska Ambassadors of Music to Europe. Seven of the students were from Scottsbluff High School. Zachary Durbin, Kerry Halte, Mackensie Keder, Amy Krichau, Andrew Lacy, Molly Meister, and Zach Spurgeon joined 350 other Nebraska students for the 2007 European Concert Tour under the direction of Don and Barbara Johnson of Fremont.
In order to qualify for this honor, the students must be a good citizen, posses good musical skills, and show good leadership ability.
Michael A. Koch, Director of Bluffs Middle School Bands, accompanied the group and has been a member of the ambassador staff for the past five years. Mr. Koch has traveled to Europe three times with the group.
