Middle School Assistant Principal Mike Mason gets a work out laying down sod on Saturday.

Last year, the Scottsbluff Public School Board of Education agreed to erect two softball fields north of the high school from the existing baseball fields.  The first field is expected to be complete in time by the start of the softball season next fall.  To keep the cost down, the majority of the work has been done by volunteers.
