Dr. Michael Shedd

Dr. Shedd was born and raised in Dansville, New York before moving to Basking Ridge, New Jersey at the age of nine. He graduated from Ridge High School in 1979 and Princeton University in 1983. Dr. Shedd spent a year researching with Nobel Laureate Eric Wieschaus on fruit fly genetics in 1984. He graduated from the University of Rochester School of Medicine in 1988 and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in 1991. Dr. Shedd completed his fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Washington University in St. Louis in 1996. He became board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, and Critical Care Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Shedd joined Horizons West Medical Group in 1996, and is currently the director of the Intensive Care Unit at Regional West Medical Center. He is a member of the Board of Directors for HWMG and president of the Board of Directors of PPI (Physician Partnerships, INC.) Dr. Shedd and his wife Regina have four children in the Scottsbluff Public School System.
