The Department of Health and Human Services has local offices across the state that are organized into five service areas. In addition, the Department oversees 10 facilities, including four Veterans' Homes, three regional centers, two youth rehabilitation and treatment centers, and the Beatrice State Development Center. |

Office of Special Education |
The Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) is dedicated to improving results for infants, toddlers, children and youth with disabilities ages birth through 21 by providing leadership and financial support to assist states and local districts. |

| PEAK | The mission of PEAK Parent Center is to provide training, information and technical assistance to equip families of children birth through twenty-six including all disability conditions with strategies to advocate successfully for their children. As a result of PEAK’s services to families and professionals, children and adults with disabilities will live rich, active lives participating as full members of their schools and communities. |
| PTI of Nebraska | The mission of PTI Nebraska is to provide training, information and support to parents in Nebraska who have a child birth through twenty six with special needs. Resources are provided for parents, other family members, school personnel and interested others. |
| The Matchmaker Network Newsletter | MUMS is a National Parent to Parent Network whose mission is to help parents who have a child with any disorder, medical condition, mental or emotional disorder or rare diagnosis make connections with other parents whose children have the same or similar condition. If possible matches are made according to age, geographical location, gender, and severity of the symptoms. MUMS is a non-profit tax-exempt organization that runs on donations and subscription fees for their quarterly newsletters. |
