The Scottsbluff Public Schools Foundation has recently elected a new Board of Directors and will be working to support new School District initiatives such as the SHS Career Academies, Every Child, Every Day, Everywhere (3E) and a new Grow Your Own Teacher program. In order to support this work, the Foundation Board is seeking applications for a newly created SBPS Foundation Director position.
The SHS Cheerleaders will be in the Holiday Bowl Parade as well as performing in the Holiday Bowl Halftime Show.
Students in grades 7th and 8th have 5 areas of criteria that they must meet in order to be selected. Scholarship (GPA of 3.75 and higher), Leadership, Citizenship, Service, and Character.

The choir of 100 fifth and sixth grade students was selected from across the state through an audition process.
Scottsbluff DECA had 29 students receive awards, with 12 students being Overall Winners.
Selection as a member of this chorus is one of the highest music honors attainable in Nebraska.

On September 9th 2016, the Scottsbluff FFA Chapter participated in Area 1 Range Judging held in Dix, Nebraska.
The NeSA (Nebraska State Accountability) test results for Reading, Math and Science were released on Friday, September 16. This data shows how Scottsbluff students and schools compared to statewide averages.
Scottsbluff High School has investigated rumors of an alleged possible shooting and/or weapon at Scottsbluff High School. This rumor has been determined to be unfounded through the investigation. A letter describing this situation will be sent home with students at the end of the school day today.
