Welcome to the Bluffs Middle School (BMS) website! BMS originally opened in 1921 as Scottsbluff Junior-Senior High School. In August of 2010, BMS students and staff returned to a completely renovated and partially new facility. A successful $14 million bond referendum by the voters of Scottsbluff has provided students and staff a state of the art learning environment. The renovation included rearranging the classroom layout to fit the middle school concept, updating the electrical wiring and technology infrastructure, relocating the office to the original central entrance, adding elevators for easy handicap accessibility, and installing air conditioning while updating the heating and ventilation system. Our renovated school features a multi-purpose room that can serve as a commons area for students, a cafeteria during lunch time, and as an auditorium for small performances and school assemblies.
